Hi Rob,
presumably youve contacted Tim Frayling at Natural England? The NE birds could well be his Bowland birds (or Trough) as you say.
I had one in September 2018 at Redgate, N:E29
Cheers.

 Hi Rob ,

Yes , contacted Tim a few months ago  as per crbirding but he's been in Thailand so no reply ..thev have all been from The Trough bar one from the Ribble. I would guesstimate there have been 50+ of their green ringed gulls at AMR this year but only managed to read 11..

Not had a reply re any of the green N: birds at all so far but probably all from The Trough. The juv Lesser Black-backed Gull NA15 without the colon in the code is probably from Holland but has not been traced for certain as yet but is being looked into by one of the ringers.

A Robin on the boulder fields below Owd Betts and a Great Spotted Woodpecker flying South over the reservoir were unusual for me up here this morning. 2 Wheatear and a White Wagtail also along the south wall.

Lots of large gulls present though could only find a single colour ringed bird amongst them. N:C91,  2cy Lesser Black-backed Gull and may possibly have some history.

Not had a reply yet from NWGulls as to exactly where all the green N: birds are from. There have been many at the reservoir this autumn but only managed to read 6.
