RE: County garden birds

2 grey wagtails were nice to see this afternoon but feeding on the shed in my neighbours old Trafford garden, they also flew into another neighbours garden but never in mine hmm
have only seen them flying over in the past.
45+ goldfinch
4 greenfinch
1 chaffinch
1 robin
1 dunnock
2 coal tit
flock of long tailed tits passed through also, didn't go on any feeders though.

as I was just leaving my house this morning I could hear a ring-necked parakeet calling in the back, I went back into my house & went out into my garden & could hear it calling but could not see it, eventually it flew out of one of the neighbouring gardens & flew into another where there was an apple tree which it then started to eat apples.

Things seemed to take off today with goldfinches (max 4) and 2 nuthatches locating the feeder for the first time this winter. It subsequently emptied quite quickly, 2 coal tits being the worst offenders for throwing out any food not their main target. Goldcrests heard nearby and blackbird activity really strong, especially on fallen apples (and some that have yet to fall). Luckily it has been a bumper crop so they can have a few!

Just had a male Tawny Owl calling in our Hale garden - hope it gets some sleep soon as I could certainly use some having spent a considerable amount of time this week in Wythenshawe hospital to be with my wife.

2 peregrine falcons over my old trafford garden at 5.45pm, one was actually chasing the other & had a little pop at it, the chasing bird then flew back around & came back over my garden where I managed to get my binoculars on it & it was a juvenile. The other bird had dissapeared so didn't manage to get a good look at it.
40-60 goldfinches on a daily basis enjoying the feeders.

The garden Robin appearing agitated as it twice hovered facing our Leylandii hedge. The reason became clear as a tiny Robin fledgling appeared on the ground below and went behind our shed.
