RE: Risley Moss

l went to Risley Moss today tempted by Pete Berry's posts about the Hobby.
Met some locals who informed me it'd been out but l'd arrived at 'the dead zone' cry.giftypical....(between 2.30 and 3.30) anyway l hung around and sure enough, out it camebiggrin.gif.(L)
A very impressive bird, soaring, hunting and just enjoying it's life, really lovely to see l'll definitely go back and watch it again.
Luv birding.......

Had a couple of hours this afternoon and had almost continuous views of up to 3 birds in the air feeding on insects. As soon as the sun went in the Hobbies disappeared.smile.gif
