RE: Logie the osprey/Scotland wilderness

Yes I saw that. I'm not sure if it's the guy who has also brought in beavers as featured on Springwatch/Autumnwatch. As they mentioned on the programme it worked in South Africa and on the Pantanal in Brazil, but did you notice how, at the end, all the others (sons of merchant bankers no doubt) said how they all admired his initiative, vision blahblah.gif but they wouldn't dream of doing it! There isn't an emoticon to convey what I was thinking at that point

Just spent an hour or so on the Logie the Osprey website. Brilliant stuff. Not just the Osprey. Marsh Harrier, Honey Buzzard and much more.

The section on mammals interested me because it ties in with a tv program, on the other night, Natural World, i think it was. A guy (the son of Mr MFI) has a dream of restoring parts of the highlands to the wilderness they used to be hundreds of years ago. Re introducing species such as Mouse, Wild boar, Lynx and even Wolves and Bears.
But he's having trouble with fences and red tape.
The areas are currently used as "Shoots" be it, Deer, Grouse or Fishing, and little else.

Is it Jurrasic park, or could it work?

Check out the website and the program is repeated on Sun.

Cheers Dean.
