There's still a public footpath shown on maps which crosses Pennington Flash from near Sorrowcow Farm, so a satnav is definitely a great leap forward in those parts

Sat Nav's are a brilliant peice of kit. Punch in a postcode or favorite place and away you go!!! Especially as I am now over the age of 40 and expecting failing eyesight at any moment.(as well as all the other geriatric ailments!!)
No more one handed driving with one eye on the road, one on the map and the other in the rear view mirror looking for the local police. I can now concentrate fully on my rear view mirror (with all three eyes).
Oh!! I forgot about the little voice telling me I am going to fast and when I am approaching a speed camera.
That leaves me all three eyes to scan for birds en-route and build up my 'from the car' list
