well atleast i've received no death threats yet, but i'd still rather those who hadn't entered did so, its not cheeky, far from it as it wasnt your faults. You can be honest if you think you had 'em or just claim them anyway but not for riggers i'm afraid, once they're in, they're in but of course i knew there must have been a mistake, after all how on earth could you have got that one wrong?

Answers on a billboard to......... I must admit when I saw his name wasn't there disbelief.gif I thought he'd had an attack of the jack snipes brought on by foot rustbiggrin.gif

I agreed with Andrew, it would be too cheeky to enter once the results are there but after reading your last post Ian, i'll send them in. My concience is clearsmile.gif
Besides, it might be the only month i'll get them both rightbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Great to have the competition back.

Cheers Dean.

I was waiting in anticipation for the new Mystery Bird Comp and entered on New Years Day at 7.08 pm after correctly identifying both birds, however, either due to lack of sleep due to late nights or days of alcohol abuse over Christmas/New Year, typed House Sparrow instead of Tree Sparrow-what a balloon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!blankstare.gif

This is no excuse I knowhmm.gifbut it is genuine- honestwink.gifwink.gif

Anyway-its only for fun, as long as I beat Mr.Chorley I aint botheredbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

We did the same, I left Rob to enter last night and I got home and he said the results were on. We had been saying we must get round to it, so we take responsibility for being so disorganised!

Like you Andrew, we'll leave it until next month, can hardly enter when the results are there. smile.gif

It's all a bit of fun.

I'm afraid I'm at fault for the early release of January's mystery birds doh.gif, then again it could only ever be my fault!

I'd done the hard work early as I'll be at work for the next few days and won't be able to give the required time to get it all sorted but thought I had ensured that I had clicked the 'do not publish' button, with the intention of publishing the new pages on the 1st of the month as usual, but obviously not!

My sincere apologies ladies and gents, I don't often make mistakes (yeah right biggrin.gif) and will still honour any entries until the end of the month, obviously they'll all be correct wink.gif but it's a long year and it is only the first round, Dean please email me your entry anyway so I can add it to the page, same for anyone else.

dean, although I got my entry in a few days ago i.m as suprised as you to see the results early, but it,s only for fun so i recon you can judge yourself in or out as you please.I was going to start a thread to discuss LAST months mystry birds so this will do ,33 birders all scratching their heads over dodgy photosbiggrin.gif,I got the woodcock quite easily but the sparrow took a good few hours
before I wrote down what i could see which helped to narrow it down.

cheers geoffbiggrin.gif
