Had a quick look tonighht in this monsoon but didnt have much luck as most of the paths in the park were underwater and the roads were even worse. Water was pupming out from some under ground pipes along St Margarets Rd from within Heaton Park res and the raod was under about 10 inch of water and if carried on looked as though it could flood the houses!

Red Kite NE by the BT tower at 10.40 circled round over the m60 a couple of times before heading on NE.

150+ Redwing still in the park and probably more over the hill they were on

250+ Redwing in the field at The Heaton Park tram stop entrance also 15 Goldfinch, Jay, GSW and 44 Filedfare North.

Me and Simon had a couple of hours walking around this am, no sign or sound of any Lesser spots there were several Great Spots drumming away, plus usual woodland birds incl 7+ Nuthatches, 2 Treecreepers, 6 Jays, Long Tailed Tits and lots and lots of Redwings, probably 100+.

Had a trudge round Heaton Park this afternoon the Boating lake had:-
5 pochard
Pair Shoevelr
2 Gooander
2 GCG

Elsewhere in the Park
GSW
8 Siskin
2 Bullfinch
2 Treecreeper
Jay
Sparrowhawk and some very tame squirrels which where follwing me around and at one point thought it was gonna climb up me instead of a tree!

The Field at the back of HPR res had
8 Pied Wag
Grey Wag
2 Mpipit
10 Linnet
40 Chaffinch.

Peregine over late evening and 360 finches which looked mainly to be Greenfinch came into roost
in trees near the BT tower.
