RE: Excellent sites not yet being covered for the Atlas

Just to update Judith's message:

Chorlton Water Park (actually split between several tetrads) is now taken.

Dove Stone areas and Saddleworth Moors are (although Greater Manchester) not in the Manchester BTO region. If you are interested in doing Timed Tetrad Visits there, use the BTO Atlas website www.birdatlas.net rather than contact me.

As Judith says, if you are interested in any of this Atlas work, I would be pleased to hear from you. As the situation changes daily the BTO site is well worth a look.

Just thought I'd mention that the following sites (tetrads ie 2km x 2km squares) have not yet been registered for Atlas coverage - if any of them are your favourite patch and you can do 2 x 2hr walks in the period November to February, and 2 hrs twice in the breeding season in 2008, which will also count for the county atlas, then Steve Suttill on suttill.parkinson@virgin.net
will be delighted to hear from you.
