Great stuff Eddie, none there on my last check on the 6th, just 3 Yellowhammers but when the feeding begins previous results have been impressive. On Pete Berry's RSPB funded feeding station on private farmland only a mile away (as the sparrow flies) there were 16 present on the 7th and this may be the tip of the iceberg with a bit of luck, I've certainly seen small flocks of Tree Sparrows flying from the Rindle direction towards this feeding station (NE of Rindle) in past years so there's definately movement between the two sites.

At the LOS feeding station which is at the top of Rindle Road, Astley for those who don't know, along the small track on the right hand side 100 yards before the level crossing, views can be excellent of the sparrows and Yellowhammers and viewing is best just from the road as walking the path only disturbs them. They also provide probably the best photographic opportunities (other than those in Pete Berry's garden furious.gif) for those county photographers who may be inclined, one for the galleries please someone...wink.gif
