Simon, congrats on thr Elton site guide, excellent. Noticed you have marked the Redstart hedge, does this mean the birds will be obliged to show up every year from now?. If so its a clever ploy which could be used for other species, maybe crossbills??!!.
Cheers Ian.

this excellent section of the forum

Hmmm hmm.gif, seems like a common mix up needs clearing here before me 'ead explodes!

The website is Manchester Birding (manchesterbirding.com), that's the big bit with all the pretty pictures, arcticles, site guides etc (and is the bit that takes all my bloody time upbiggrin.gif) which people seem to largely ignore whilst logging onto this forum, that's right this forum, which you're reading now (Manchester Birding Forum), it's a forum and not a website because that is infact the big bit with all the pretty pictures etc etc. So let's recap, the website is the big bit with the pretty pictures etc etc and the forum is the bit that you are reading here now. Clear weirdface.gif Crystal biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Looks like you will do better at Walker Fold Woods for crossbills, Paul. The real challenge is, find me a breeding pair in February for the county atlas!

How can any Manchester birder get stuck for something to do or somewhere to go,this excellent section of the forum has had a major new piece added the long awaited Elton res guide, by the one and only warfy, well done mate.
now to upset all those compass toting grid reference boys(and girls) it access is 4F page 47 of the A-Z kitchener rd,
discovered we had a problem on saturday when bin green was not on the ordindance service map, so back to the trusty A-Z where it simply became page 100 2B but you have to have the large A-Z its about £12.50 and you dont have to have a compass,
stay happy keep birding.
