Nice morning, after de-icing the car!!

The Great Northern Diver was still enjoying life on a somewhat calm lower reservoir.

Several meadow pipits flitting about, I counted 8 but I think more.
1 Male reed bunting on the wall near the pumphouse.
2 Pied wagtail
1 Grey wagtail chasing a Swallow, plus an earlier sighting making 2 swallows.
2 Oystercatchers

Great Northern Diver still present today and here are some images of the bird thanks to Gary Crowder, one of which shows it eating a crayfish!

Also some stunning county images of Osprey at this site from March 28th. The bird bore a green ring. All images thanks to Gary Crowder

The dip in the road after the car park heading to the reservoirs. Where we usually get Grasshopper Warbler, Whinchat etc. It's been named after Dolly the horse who is no longer with us!

Osprey at 16.25, bird stayed until 17.15 before flying off over the Noddle towards Piethorne. Excellent close views as the bird travelled backwards and forwards hunting above both Reservoirs finally catching a large trout but following a long battle was unable to lift the fish from the water.  Pity as it would no doubt of stayed around for much longer.  Barry Stanley also present.

Curlew

Redshank

Great Northerun Diver

Oystercatcher

Buzzard to complete a good for raptors
