The dip in the road after the car park heading to the reservoirs. Where we usually get Grasshopper Warbler, Whinchat etc. It's been named after Dolly the horse who is no longer with us!
Osprey at 16.25, bird stayed until 17.15 before flying off over the Noddle towards Piethorne. Excellent close views as the bird travelled backwards and forwards hunting above both Reservoirs finally catching a large trout but following a long battle was unable to lift the fish from the water. Pity as it would no doubt of stayed around for much longer. Barry Stanley also present.
Great Northern Diver on upper reservoir when I arrived at 1500hrs then flew to lower. It seems to be getting more mobile and maybe getting ready for the off?
