if it's a blue darvic with white numbers/letters, then it was ringed by the North West Swan Study - have a look at their website:

my morning patch on the irwell has recently seen a boost in mute swan numbers 15 to 20 everyday now, some have the blue ring PBU and NDX as an example,is it possible to find out where the birds were ringed, and should i be reporting their location to someone
