Don't know if some of the flock were not visible to Steve (see previous message), but what I assume were (some of) the same birds passed very low over Hilltop, Romiley at 3:50 pm. There were c180 (my brother, who was in our garden c half a mile away guessed at 200), and they passed so close to the trees that several passerines were flushed from the woods by the sight and noise. They all disappeared off towards Kinder Scout.
