Late post for Thursday 24th Jan (as I completely forgot!) Pink-footed Geese flock heard over Irlam at 19.45 heading north. Couldnt see them obviously as it was completely dark but they sounded like they were flying quite low.
A decent-sized flock went fairly low ESE viewed from Whitebeam Close, Timperley at 11:20 a.m., in a very rushed count in groups of ten i estimated approx 240, but if someone told me that was a bit too many i wouldn't disagree. Could well be the same group that John had later, perhaps turned back to the Lancs mosses for some reason.
