c170 SE over Bickershaw rucks @09-40 followed 10mins later by 6 stragglers, also heard a flock @ 10-10 am but couldn't see them but presume they were the same birds that Gordon saw.
Wigan flashes 130 SE 9ish followed by 30 and 140 east around 11ish 200+ also flushed from fields distantly to the SW (I think) of Scotmans by 3 Buzzards and headed south
Heaton Park 60+ west at dusk over the moors towards Bury
c130 very low (no higher than 250 feet) NW over the New Cross area of Manchester City Centre at 10:50 this morning; heard coming through the gloom of the fog and appeared low enough to be endangered by the CIS tower as they flew past!
15 Pink-Footed Geese in ploughed field next to Little Woolden Moss. Could be same ones that were headed SE over Ashton-in-Makerfield mentioned below by Dave Broome.

Could well be and as I counted them with naked eye as they flew quickly over our house I may have mis-counted

The flock of >350 birds were in the field adjacent to Heathlands Farm, off the A6144 Warburton Lane just outside Partington, at around 11am this morning and still there at 1pm.
