The Bridlington pelagics seem to be quite productive this year, shame you didnt get a Great Shearwater Declan, I think that Snow Goose was last seen flying towards the Wash.
I was further up the coast today, on the rspb cruise from bridlington. I think we had the snow goose before spurn - it flew right over the boat with a skein of pink-feet. Lots of other good stuff too - loads of sooty shearwaters and a single Balearic close to the boat, and a juvenile Long-tailed skua (lifer for me) about 6 feet away from us on the sea, plus the 3 other skuas, black tern, manxies, little gulls, puffins and a blue fumar. we missed the sabines reported from flamborough, but excellent fun, and i got a bit of a tan too. Going back in a couple of weeks - can't wait.
Pinkfeet on the move with loads of skiens going south today counted 825 and picked up a white phase Snow Goose which had been tracked down the coast from Filey. Also over 2000 Mpipits South.
Sea Watching was fantastic Juv Long-tailed Skua sat on sea between blue bell and sea watching hide 1st thing, Sooty and Manx Shearwaters going past in numbers and picked up a single Baleric, got on possible Great Shearwater but was too far out when finally got on it to tell what it was then missed a second one as just couldnt pick it up.
Arctic and Great Skua's, Puffin, Razorbill, Fulmar, Gannet, Common Scoter, GCG, Kittiwake, RT Divers, Teal and Wigeon were among others on the move.
Migrants were very scare with just a single Wheatear and a few Yellow wags.
