Think they were all Mistle.

Seen the same flock regularly in the last week. Lots of berrys around. Same trees i had Waxwings in a couple of years ago. Here's hoping.

I have noticed groups of 10+ in Stamford Park over the last few years. A few always remain throughout the year with others dotted around surrounding area. I also saw a flock of 40+ on the Isle of Mull last week

It's difficult to track them in built up areas. This flock looked to have come down in a school field nearby but when i got there they'd moved on. They were heading west but only in the brief time i saw them. My theory is that they are familly groups looking for the berries. Although some Mistles must come in with the Redwings and Fieldfares(bit early for them yet).

It's that time of year - Mistle's seem to form big groups and wander about a bit - I see the same thing in Stockport each year - what I would like to know is how far they move - are they our birds preparing to move south or do they hang around? Any ideas?
