3 Dunlin 4 Ringed Plover 4 Curlew 3 Oystercatcher 1 Peregrine with kill 3 Raven 30 Wheatear on the reserve and surrounding fields 9 Yellow Wagtail 24 White Wagtails 7 Swallow through north 13 Sand Martin through north

Little Woolden Moss 16.30-17.00 Completely timed my visit wrong! Got caught out by a heavy squally shower and strong cold wind making viewing difficult and made for a shortened visit.

In addition to the below at Little Wooldon Moss, prior to 9am with Simon Johnson, 27 White Wagtails, 3 Yellow Wagtails, 5 Ringed Plover, 8 Teal, 1 Greylag Goose and 19 Willow Warblers.
Walk along Astley Road from M62 Motorway Bridge - as far as Twelve Yards Road - and around Little Woolden Moss

9 Oystercatchers - easily a site record for me 1 Curlew 7 Snipe 5 Teal 1 Kestrel - went into Peregrine-like stoop dive briefly before pulling out and began hovering. 1 Chiffchaff
Birds at Little Woolden Moss between 11:30 and about 13:15 included female Merlin, 6 Little Ringed Plover, 1 Dunlin, 2 Redshank, 2 Oystercatcher, 6 Curlew, 2 Wheatear, 3 Willow Warbler and 4 Sand Martin
