and when Pete says briefly, he means briefly! Despite getting to the pools in record time (around 3 minutes) the bird had left before I got there...

At about 7pm tonight a Skua either Arctic or Long Tailed dropped in briefly onto the pools.The bird was an imm. prob 1st summer,it may well still be in the county.
