Early a.m. approx. 50 Swift over sailing club with a similar number at Capsticks end of res. also large numbers of Sand Martin (200+). 1 Common Sandpiper and the Tufted Duck still has 5 young.

4 Common Tern and a Redshank over the reservoir.

3 Sedge Warbler and 2 Grasshopper Warbler singing. Also Willow Warbler, Whitethroat and Blackcap.

Kingfisher on Withins.

6.45- 8.00 a.m. quite a good morning, best was a Spotted Flycatcher in apple tree behind sailing club also Tufted Duck with 6 tiny ducklings at Capsticks end of the res, 7 Common Tern, 2 using the res for fishing and 5 high over heading SW,

This a.m. with Malcolm(welcome back after your accident), 1 Grasshopper Warbler reeling (not seen) in Old Hall marsh, just 1 singing Sedge Warbler, 3 Kestrels, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Common Tern and 2 Kingfisher (1 heading towards the river carrying a fish) were the highlites.

Nuthatch at least 1 calling constantly and flying off with food in beak to feed young
