On arrival at Seddon Fold a flight of 7 Gadwall were leaving the lodge going SW. While following this flight I picked up a very large flock of finches at a good height.

A Buzzard was low over the area around the wood.
Swallows .c55
Herring Gull....1 not quite adult probably 4th Summer.
Later a second smaller finch flock (c40) was in with the Swallows, and made off towards the lodge, where Phil Rhodes saw Greenfinch among the Goldfinch.
Common Sandpiper....1
Grey Heron ( head and neck only seen) in the Knutshaw Brook intake channel.
Pied Wagtail... at least 30
Greenfinch...2
I dipped on the Whinchat that Phil saw around 6pm today, near where last week's Redstart had been!
Linnet....4
