During a quick stop by the dam at lunchtime I saw 6 great crested grebe, a single common tern, three swallow plus a number of black headed gulls.  The tern caught a fish while I was watching, a real treat.

John,
Follow the track from the gate by Beaumont Rd. to where the new hedge is planted; follow the hedge right down and turn right by the Reed bed.
Go the short distance to the hawthorns opposite the islands and view.
On Monday it moved around east shore /west shore and very close in SE corner. Always viewable from around hawthorns.

Can anyone help with directions for the best way to look for the Bar Tailed Godwit.  I know of the way in from Beaumont RoadR after parking on Armadale Road. Many thanks.

If I score it would be GM tick number 199.
