During a quick stop by the dam at lunchtime I saw 6 great crested grebe, a single common tern, three swallow plus a number of black headed gulls. The tern caught a fish while I was watching, a real treat.
John, Follow the track from the gate by Beaumont Rd. to where the new hedge is planted; follow the hedge right down and turn right by the Reed bed. Go the short distance to the hawthorns opposite the islands and view. On Monday it moved around east shore /west shore and very close in SE corner. Always viewable from around hawthorns.
