42 species this morning included 3 Common Tern, 4 Gadwall, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Raven, 4 Whitethroat, 2 Willow Warbler, 6 Reed Warbler, 1 Sedge Warbler, 2 Grasshopper Warbler, 1 Cettis Warbler

Female Ring Ouzel still present in the same field at 5pm.

Female Ring Ouzel from 4:30 to 6:30pm at least, easily viewable from the top of the field at the Beumont Road side behind the reedbed, feeding in the horse fields. Also a Cetti‘s Warbler and two Swifts.

No sign of the Ring-necked Duck this morning.
Forty two species included:
104 Lapwing
12 Teal
1 Gadwall
1 Snipe
1 Kingfisher
1 Jay
1 Cettis Warbler singing and what may have been the same showing well in a Hawthorn which contained 7 Blackbird & 4 Song Thrush
10 Chiffchaff
2 Goldcrest
6 Reed Bunting

This evening till dusk-

Female/imm type Merlin flew across the lodge heading towards High Rid with a small flock of Jackdaws escorting it off.
2 Wigeon

19 Pink-footed Geese over west at dusk
300+ Jackdaw into roost

Seven Curlew flew off west at 10:12am. Four Common Sandpipers, single Snipe, 2 Whitethroats and 2 Chiffchaffs 8also present.

Yesterday evening, four juvenile Yellow Wagtails were a real surprise on the east shore plus a Willow Tit in the Hawthornes. Also, 3 juvenile Little Ringed Plovers, 2 Common Sandpipers, Snipe, 3 Oystercatcher, 7 Common Terns, 73 Swallows and 2 Sand Martins.

Several Crossbill flew south this morning, heard but not picked up in the bright sky as they moved rapidly through, at least three calling. Other birds included 1 Common Sandpiper, 2 Great Black-backed Gull, 3 Common Tern, 3 Swift, 3 juvenile Bullfinch
