Male Wheatear top of the tree in the centre of the pond, moved to the footpath by the Mersey then to the far bank (Broad Ees Dole side).

Grasshopper warbler heard reeling this evening, not seen in the hour I was looking for it.
Reed warbler at the dry wier.

Little Egret (juv) by the drainage channel, until disturbed by dogs, when flew towards the river.
Presumably the same bird seen earlier at Chorlton Ees; see record shots in separate post (https://manchesterbirding.activeboard.com/t9856511/chorlton-ees/?page=1#comment-68736250).

Also a single Common Swift fly-catching here, but apart from that, nothing of note.

At least 6 stonechat today, 3 male, 3 female; possibly even a fourth male.

Also reed bunting heard in song and a kestrel being seen off by carrion crows.

Raven 2. One on the pylon calling to another Raven on the next pylon at Sale Water Park

A plethora of phylloscopus with Chiffchaffs (4) and Willow Warblers (8) singing side by side (similar at Turn Moss and Ryebank Fields recently)

Large mixed hirundine and Swift flock hawking over the Mersey and the Ees this afternoon. Approximately 20+ Swift, 20+ House Martin, 5+ Sand Martin and 5+ Swallow.

Also a very tame Grey Heron in the weir, it wasn't even bothered about dogs splashing around close by. Four Reed Buntings were active around the weir too.
