judith, did radio 4 broacast the full interview,i only heard a snippet at 18.30, i was misled into thinking it had been found again in salford only to find out the bbc run proper news a week late.
I did the interview on Radio 4 ar short notice yesterday, along with the farmer who found it and Dave Steel. Also in the Daily Express and Guardian today. All of them picked it up from the MEN, to whom Adrian and I gave it first, as we can trust Neal Keeling to do a good accurate story - more that some of the local papers I could mention!

In a shop in Hambleton today, somewhere between Blackpool and Lancaster, heard report Desert Wheatear found by farmer in Irlam. Just a week behind events
ok, from that resounding silence i can only assume that the bbc picked it up from the manchester evening news and used it as a filler today, the thought of dessie sharing the skies with jack duckworths pigeon,s(peregrine fodder)was quite alarming
just heard on radio four news desert wheatear reported in salford any news out there, the news item was very short and did not say today but did say salford cheers geoff
