RE: Partridge in Aspull

Reading you well. I am not usually at the Finger Post at that time,of the mornining but last year I did have 2 in the garden under the bird table. They occur in the fields behind my house - but to date I have not heard any this year and I have not flushed any either in my periodic wanderings across the fields. Keep an eye open for Buzzards too. One was circling over the Gerrard Arms on Monday - I suspect local breeding. Please also see my reply to your Plantation observations. Tom

Are you receiving me Mr. Morton ?

Hi Tom,

This morning whilst on my way to Rumworth I was surprised to see a Grey Partridge on Aspull Village Green, literally feet away from the roadside, at 07.00. It was just opposite Aspull Primary School off Bolton Rd, near to where you live. I thought it unusual, but have you ever seen them there ? Great garden tick if you have !

Rgds. Ian
