Quite right Henry, the garden lists do include many birds that are flyovers or that are seen from the garden (and why not ), so if you have any extras let me know
Looking at the county garden lists there are some really impressive sightings, I expect many are flyovers and out of the gardens, but still very impressive stuff. Best bird in my garden in Hale Barns was 2 Mealy (common/icelandic?) Redpolls which stayed for a couple of weeks last winter. We seem to be lucky here and always have a small wintering flock of lesser redpolls and siskins which I hardly see outside of the garden all year!
There is a county garden list section in the website (under 'listers and listing') that may give you some idea of what people get in their gardens Jake.
