A few hours round here yesterday, lovely and quiet when the England match was on!
Little unusual bird wise, with a drake wigeon on the spit probably most notable.
Plenty of mallard ducklings, and young Canada geese, mute swan, moorhen, coot, black-headed gull and lapwing, too. A couple of full-grown juvenile lapwing good to see.
About 7 or 8 common tern, giving superb views at the western end, and willow tit, sedge warbler, Cetti's warbler, the common warbler species and a water rail all seen or heard around here, as well as an active great crested grebe nest.
16 tufted duck, 12 gadwall and 1 teal from the Teal Hide.
