Rather than start a new thread, a Red Kite was seen over the M61, a little north of Rivington services about 3pm.

I was driving along M62 Friday 6 Th June at 6.15 pm in direction of Manchester. Just passed junction 11 at Birchwood when a red kite flew over the motorway north to south(in direction of Irlam moss) being mobbed by a kestrel. Thanks Dave Sulway

Apparently one was seen over Horwich on Monday 26th. Could well be the Junction 31 bird, depending on directions. The Horwich bird was seen at around 12 noon I think.

08:10hrs this morning - 2 miles north of Junction 31 on M6, Red Kite circling above motorway
