There's been quite a number of Gulls the last few days, although ive not seen anything out of the ordinary. Most days I've been walking home without binos from training, so not been able to have a proper look.

Dipper has been showing well around Westleigh Brook for the last couple of weeks, mainly around Sportsman Street Bridge. Three birds have been seen, sometimes cracking views when the water levels are right.

Few sightings over the last few weeks,

Dipper has been seen towards the end of Clifton Street. Been seen quite a few times around that area. At least 5 Grey Wagtails around the Westleigh Brook area as well. There's been at least 15+ Mistle Thrush on Marsh Playing fields. Not many Redwings compared to previous years. A large gathering of Gulls on Wednesday and Thursday but nothing out of the ordinary. A Female Sparrowhawk has been about for the last few weeks.

All info thanks to Billy Armstrong.

Brilliant experience walking home from the gym just now saw a bird struggling near to the entrance of Marsh playing Fields, initially thought it was an injured Wood pigeon, as i got closer i realised it was a Male Sparrowhawk with a Collared Dove right at the side of the road with cars going past. Both birds were struggling and the Collared dove managed to fly away across the Marshys, the Sparrowhawk gave chase but both birds disappeared out of view! Never seen anything like that before especially so close to a road.

The playing fields were extremely flooded when I ran past them this morning. Didn't have time to stop but I would estimate that there were no less than 400 Black-Headed Gulls (they were literally covering the entire field). Also, about 10 Lesser Black-Backed with them. 60+ Starlings were also on the field along with 50+ Jackdaw and about 20 Carrion Crows.
