A Hobby flew west over Warburton village at 17.10 this evening. It looked like it had a bit of brown in the plumage so possibly a first year bird.

Male and Juvenile falcon - probably Peregrines - seen together at a distance today near Warburton Village - viewed from bridge. 1 Yellowhammer in the vicinity.

1 Hobby spotted in the air with 5 Buzzard across the Ship Canal over Rixton, then overhead over Wigsey Lane fields towards Lyme.

1 Whinchat - fem
1 Grasshopper Warbler

no sign of Spotted Flycatcher over at Warburton Church but Great Spotted Woodpecker and Nuthatch nesting in the same tree!

3pm - 6pm. Stroll from Warburton church (Abbey Croft) along Wigsey Lane, taking the right fork to the Manchester Ship Canal and along the canal as far as a large ploughed field, but not as far far as the River Bollin ie the GM County boundary.
