Just got back from a month long trek in Nepal, billed as Makalu /Everest it was a month long trek from Tumlingtar to Makalu base camp over the Sherpani Pass, West Coll and Amphu Labtsa high passes and through the Solo Khumbu onto the Everest trail to finish in Lukla.
Not a birding trip by any means but here is a species list of what I was able to ID
Ashy Drongo, Common Mynah, Black Eagle, Cuckoo, Green Backed Tit, Grey Bushchat, Tree Sparrow, Crested Bunting, Streaked Laughing Thrush, Verditer Flycatcher, Rufous Gorgeted Flycatcher, Black Drongo, Blue Capped rRock Thrush, Fire Tailed Sunbird, Fire Tailed Myzornis, White capped Water Redstart, Red and Yellow Billed Choughs, Winter Wren,Lammergeier, Rufous Breasted Accentor, Snow Pigeon, Rosy Pipit, Tibetan Snowcock, Chukka,Blue Fronted Redstart, Alpine Accentor, Great Rosefinch, Red Headed Bullfinch, Coal Tit, Beautiful Rosefinch, Gret Crested Tit, Grey Backed Shrike, Collared Grosbeak, Himalayan Monal, Orange Flanked Bush Robin, White Collared Blackbird, Plumbeous Water Redstart, Oriental Turtle Dove, gret Wagtail, Rufous Sibia, Red Vented Bulbul, Black Kite, (possible Steppe Eagle and Imperial Eagle)
Anyone fancies a trekking holiday please pm me for tips hints etc. Birding was secondary but those people on the trek with little birding knowledge soon became hooked! Vast majority of these were all life time ticks for me. If I was an experienced birder I could have probably doubled this list.
