You could have walked on another 750m and found yourself at Stockport City's copycat training ground next door!

Spotted Flycatcher at the top of birch trees on the path towards Altrincham ETW adjacent to field 16 at 4:20ish.

A late post due to there being no forum access from mobile phones for some reason and me being at work all day.

My first visit to this site this afternoon, parked at Woodcote farm where it was good to see lots of Swallow and House Martin walked up the lane to view the pond on the right through the fence, 30+ Lapwing on mud but no sign of any Sandpiper, Buzzard calling but I couldn't see it. Walked on to Aston Road turned left here then crossed Birch Road and found 7 or 8 Yellowhammer in hedgerow here. Back near the sewage works a Yellow Wagtail in field with horses.
Cheers Ian

1400-1500 showers

Plenty of Green Sandpiper activity with at least five birds coming and going in between the showers. Looked like they were coming from behind the third pool.

Highlight though had to be the Grasshopper Warbler which was singing from the top of the highest bush in the area providing probably the best and certainly the lengthiest views of this species for me in the county!

Also

4 Teal
Family of 4+ Whitethroats
1-2 Yellow Wagtail over
Plus most of previously reported
