From Fall Birch road 12:30pm to Res. Kestrel - 2. Buzzard - 2. Jay - 1. Dunnock - 1.
At the Res :-
Pied wagtail - 12 at least. Reed bunting - 1. Meadow pipit - 12. Buzzard - 3 . Little Grebe - 10. Little Gull 2W - 1 giving great close up views over the boathouse path. But a other birder said the Scaup was scared off by the boats at 12: 45 Doh !
First winter Scaup and 2nd winter Little Gull both present today.
Also, Merlin through SW, 2 Ring Ouzel 26 Redwing, 5 Chiffchaff, 40 Swallow, 15 House Martin, 60 Meadow Pipit, 50 Pied Wagtail and a Whinchat (latter Andy Makin).
No sign of the grebes this morning between 10 and 11:30. Grasshopper warbler reeling and eventually seen in scrub to west of the reservoir. Nice to meet Sinead and Ian and another chap who's name I didn't get.
2 Black-necked Grebes still there this morning, but distant from 07:05 to 08:40. Also 2 Common Terns, BH Gulls, 2 Greylag Geese, several Pied Wagtails, numerous hirundines (mainly Sand Martin & Swallow) and 1 Common Sandpiper.
