Some sightings with S Ghilks this morning

Green Sandpiper initially seen in flight but then located in north west corner of no 1 at about 0840. Unable to locate after about 0915.

 Later on in the morning. 1 wheatear, and at least double the number of meadow pipits. A single swift may have been a different one from earlier in the day. Not too exciting really.

Birds from today included a Knot on the West Bank of no 2 resr, 15 Cormorants which dropped onto no 3 resv before flying off west in a loose V formation, 2 Goldeneye,  2 Ringed Plovers,  c200 House Martins,  c30 Swallows but only 4 Sand Martins, c50+ Meadow Pipits and a Wheatear.

6 common terns flew through No 2 water just as I arrived.

40 goldfinches on weeds in SE corner

Common Buzzard from over rail line towards Denton Island quite low (also kestrel and sparrowhawk seen, so good for raptors for here!)

at least 6 grey wagtails (and c20 pied wags)
