I did the interview on Radio 4 ar short notice yesterday, along with the farmer who found it and Dave Steel. Also in the Daily Express and Guardian today. All of them picked it up from the MEN, to whom Adrian and I gave it first, as we can trust Neal Keeling to do a good accurate story - more that some of the local papers I could mention!

Hi Geoff

In a shop in Hambleton today, somewhere between Blackpool and Lancaster, heard report Desert Wheatear found by farmer in Irlam.
Just a week behind events

ok, from that resounding silence i can only assume that the bbc picked it up from the manchester evening news and used it as a filler today, the thought of
dessie sharing the skies with jack duckworths pigeon,s(peregrine fodder)was quite alarming

cheers geoff
