Although Audenshaw Resvs in theory are a permit access site, in reality the site is used by large numbers of the general public (Dogwalkers, joggers, etc - over 100 people a day) without ever being challenged. In short you've got more chance of winning the Lottery than you've got of being challenged for a permit on Audenshaw.
Access through the open fence on the B6390 just before the motorway bridge. No 2 Reservoir is the most southerly reservoir by the motorway.
Hope this helps
