I've added a further 3 images (probably the best yet) of the Hollingworth Shag, taken by the bird's finder Simon Hitchen, to the galleries on the website. Given the good number of images now on the galleries, it's probably at saturation point for this bird now, unless someone has any better than those currently published but please feel free to keep sending them to me, my thanks to all the photographers who already have.

The White-Fronted Goose was viewed distantly and only briefly so I can`t confidently say of which race it was. However, my overall feeling was that it was `dark`, and orange billed. I checked the Akzo Pond but there was no sign of it. So all Rochdale patchers keep your eyes peeled ! !
I left at 9.30 but I know that Judith was watching the Shag at 11-ish.

The Shag is still present at Hollingworth Lake this am (7am onwards), despite appearing elusive at times, perhaps due to the bird feeding.
Also, a White -fronted Goose was present briefly at 8am, then flew towards the Akzo pond area but should realistically, still be in the area.
All information provided by Ian Woosey (who obviously made it there early )- so cheers Ian!
