If anyone fancies an excuse for two walks in Cumbria this year (the first one needed this week) the Cumbria Bird Club have put out a request for volunteers to take the last few tetrads in a Yellowhammer survey. Some of these, eg Ambleside, are easy enough to get to from our area and a good excuse for just two visits over the survey period. Info at Cumbria Bird Club Yellowhammer Survey
Tetrads needing volunteers are: NY 24G Mealsgate NY33R Mosedale, Mungrisedale NY33Z Sowerby Row/ Skelton Wood End NY34C Rosley, E. of Wigton NY34N Thursby/Dalston NY35G Gt.
