There was a pair of "Polish" Mute Swans at Royal George Lodge, Greenfield from Dec 2013 to March 2015. Definitely introduced though.

The January 2018 edition of British Birds includes a paper on the status in Britain of the Mute Swan colour morph known as Polish swan. It includes a map and table of records by county from 1973-2016. The Polish swan occurs chiefly down the eastern counties of Britain, though there are records elsewhere. Personally I can only recall ever seeing one in Kent. None are listed for Greater Manchester. Is it correct that none were recorded here during that period?
