Touched down in the Big Apple for my fourth trip there.
Two separate trips to Central Park produced Cardinal, Blue Jay, Song Sparrow, Mourning Dove, Baltimore Oriole and a black and white warbler in The Ramble.
Jamaica Bay Gateway National Wildlife Refuge:
Two Night heron, several Hooded Mergensers, Laughing Gull, Grey Catbird, Osprey, Yellow Warbler, Red-Winged Blackbird, Mockingbird
Bronx Zoo had Canvasback on the pools

Back in the Big Apple again, naturally I decided to take my binos. A selection of birds I've had in Central Park include All of the above, as well as Brown Headed Cow Bird, Red Tailed Hawk (they live on the buildings by the park) Dark Eyed Junco, Catbird, Downy Woodpecker, Red Breasted Nuthatch, Bufflehead, a few mourning doves ... I want to go to Jamaica Bay Wildlife refuge but it's a little snowy out there, however it is my last day and I plan on birding in Prospect Park Brooklyn

Managed to bird on and off in Central Park in my first trip to the city which never sleeps. .... so so so intense, like Pennington Flash in overdrive. I still haven't got too much into my files etc as I need to cross-reference what I saw, but definitely Blue Jays and American Robins everywhere, White-Crowned Sparrow, Tufted Titmouse, Cardinals. On the reservoir there were Hooded Mergansers and Wood Ducks in good numbers.
