Pop out to Focalpoint & have a look at the range now, they have improved since yours were launched so you may see another model that suits you better. I have a zero excess insurance policy but maybe I am lucky !! Just give us a call on 01925 730399.

At £60 for a new pair at Amazon, you won't get them repaired for that, so if your happy with them you may has well buy a new pair, and I wouldn't risk an insurance claim for £60 your access will probably be 3 times more than that anyway. look to getting something new.

To be honest Martin the repair may be uneconomical. We can take a look at Focalpoint and do a free assessment for you and give you a ballpark figure. We would have to see them though. If they are uneconomical to repair I can sort out a free insurance claim document for you to put in a claim if that's what you want to do. We have a 99% record of people getting paid out on their home insurance policy, just a thought
We are on 01925 730399, Mon-Fri 9.30am-5pm and Sat 10am-4pm if you want to ring for a chat about it

Afternoon Martin, could try Stockport telescope and binocular centre, and see they could help, looking at the price of the dps1 though, may be cheaper to buy a new set rather than try and repair your current set
Stockport Binocular and Telescope Centre no longer has a walk-in shop. They now only operate as an on-line service.
Cheers John

Speak to Paul Brewster at Focalpoint first and foremost.
Purely from my own experience I wouldn't take a cold to Stockport Optics.
