Just wanted to bump this up again and mention that the Obs now has an online shop that is selling clothing mugs etc and also a new, as yet unpublished book, that can be pre-ordered. The Birds of Spurn has been written by Andy Roadhouse - a long time Spurn regular and former assistant SBO warden. It contains rafts of info, plus illustrations by some of the UK's best bird artists. Pre - order offers end at the end of November. Profits will be going to the SBO fund.
The Obs has now raised a good amount - £4000+ last time I looked so thanks to anyone that has donated- but still a way to go.

I was there a week last Sunday and Monday with Steve Burke, Simon Gough, and Chris Chandler. The Arctic Warbler turned up at Driftwood campsite and we all gave a donation to this cause in return for entry to the campsite (owned by John Hewitt???). At one point there must've been nearing 100 people in his garden and if everyone donated then they will have had a major boost, that's not to mention the steady flow of people who visited after we left the garden. Well worth the price of admission for a fantastic rarity!
