Weasel this evening, in the exact same area as previous stoat sightings. If it wasn't for a good view of the tail, I would have probably assumed it was a stoat. It did get me thinking of whether these species can coexist, or whether one will force the other out.

Weasel sighting this morning.
Have seen Stoat in 2 different locations this year but today's sighting was some way away.

Stoat across the path this evening - had no idea that they had been seen before at the site, or that they were even present in this part of GM!

Huge Site Accessed it via Wharton Lane and concentrated on the area at the end that has changed considerably from even Google Earth looks like a bomb has gone off with acres of bare grounds small pool and a few ditches and older mounds. Main sighting Red White and Alsike Clover, Amphibious Bistort, Sneezewort, Rape, Redshank, Round Leaved Pondweed, Tufted Vetch, Common Water Starwort, Soft and Hard Rush, Meadow Sweet, Red Campion, Lesser Knapweed, Spear thistle, Greater and Ribwort Plantain, Birdsfoot Clover, Meadow Vetchling, Marsh Cudweed, Corn Spurry, Large Flowered Evening Primrose and on the edges Japanese Knotweed, Greater Bindweed, Himalayan Balsam.

Afternoon visit
Butterflies :- Comma, Tortoiseshell & Cabbage White.
Dragonflies :- M & F Common Darter, plenty of Emperors with two on the wing mating.
Also an unidentified long grey mammal about the size of a small cat that ran across the path in front of me disappearing into grass.
Nice afternoon here with good numbers of butterflies, day moths, dragon & damselflies - Of note :-
A 5 Spot Burnet Moth with one wing appearing to be light blue; Emperor, 4 Spotted Chaser & Black-Tailed Skimmer Dragonflies.
