Try Barr and Stroud - they do some pretty good optics, I've myself just purchased a Sahara scope and for the price can wholly recommend it

Afternoon everyone,

I currently have one of those Aldi spotting scopes which has lasted me well over the 3 years I have had it, but upon arriving at Lapwing lane last week, realised I need to upgrade my scope if I am to get back into my birding seriously.

If anyone knows of one, or has one they are selling, I would be interested not looking to break the bank, but am looking to get a better scope in the near future.
Also any help in choosing the right scope would be appreciated...
