I've noticed a few of these lining the A34 into Manchester, admittedly I haven't seen them on in darkness yet but I thought it was worth a mention.

We've got fancy new, very white street lights in our street in Bolton. It's like broad daylight outside. Was just thinking what effect this type of lighting will have on our birds. Wouldn't like to be a brood of chicks under one of these lights thinking it's still daylight with the cats on the prowl. Other nocturnal animals will also be confused. It just doesn't feel like night time.
