Checked the general area around 12.30pm with Jason Atkinson but unfortunately no sign of the Lesser Spotted Woodpecker.
Present were 2 Nuthatches and 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker amongst others.
This small wooded area is only round the corner from where I live so I will post an update if there is any positive news.

Lesser Spotted Woodpecker in Alderman Rodgers Park on Firbank Road at 10am,it was in the tree whose branches overhang No 62s garden on Firbank Rd. Cycled to Tescos at Baguley and on my return it was still in the same tree at 10.30. Nuthatches nestbuilding in the next tree. 2 Lesser Spotteds in one week,My luck is in.

Cycled to Tescos at Baguley and on my return it was still in the same tree at 10.30.
Nuthatches nestbuilding in the next tree.
