By River Goyt opposite Pear Mill - Toothwort - many had "gone over" but a few still in flower. Another site just upriver by side of path , most still in full flower. Moschatel in good numbers just a few feet from this second Toothwort site. Wood Anemone carpeting this area

Went down the valley last Monday afternoon hoping for blackcap or lesser spotted woodpecker, but got something better, in my opinion: a 'lifer' moth. Found an Orange Underwing down the Poise Brook part of the trail, close to the ground and in view for a couple of minutes. It's always a special moment when you see something for the first time, especially in your own county.

Sun 11 Mar pm Red Admiral Middle Farm in field with bullocks. Almost certainly a hibernating specimen just emerged
