I watched a Kingfisher perched near the pipeline over the canal near crooke It attempted to catch some fish but no luck as I was watching. 2 snipe and 6 meadow pipits flushed near crooke wood Also a huge male I presume Roe deer near crooke path.

Right at the entrance to the steps on lawns wood On crooke path Very vocal but very skulking garden warbler Took me 35 mins to finally get it :-0 Just got a good look at it finally

After seeing the ring ouzel in the morning at astley moss Spent a couple of hours on local patch M and f black caps near the steps on lawns wood Also female reed bunting picking up nest material Pair of bullfinches also here. Singing yellowhammer on crooke path Female sparrowhawk over greaves wood Pair of ltts building their nest in greaves wood Right next to where I was standing oblivious to me

6.3.11 Walk around crooke wood approaching Dusk Several grey herons back on the heronary Being tormented by large group of jackdaws. Couple of nuthatches,willow tit,treecreeper. Heard green woodpecker yaffle coming from Inside the robrite works.

In the bushes on the field near robrite entrance.
